Parkrun

Parkrun News: 19 MAC’s were spotted at 10 different venues this week with several top performances amongst them. Setting the highest standards at Alvaston, Hayley Gill was first lady and 9th overall in 18.42 with an 87.52% age grading. Not far behind in the age grading scale with 79.89% was Kate Ruffell at Fountains Abbey parkrun. Completing a trio of successful ladies this week Louise Rowley picked up the first lady finisher and 22nd overall at Mansfield parkrun. For the gents Andrew Watson grabbed a second finisher spot at Ashbourne in a speedy 23.57 on what can be a particularly muddy course, whilst Harry Holmes also claimed a second place at Monsal Trail parkrun in an impressive 17.03 and a 76.25% age grading. Also at Monsal were Karl Webster in 22nd and 22.12, Greg Hopkinson in 31st and 23.17 plus David Davidson in 64th place in a time of 25.53 earning him the very impressive 74.5% age grade score. Roy Austin was a solo MAC returning to Graves parkrun whilst David Howarth was also solo at Pavilion Gardens. Jon Tyson also a solo MAC made a rare parkrun appearance at Conyngham parkrun finishing 23rd in 25.59. The final star perfomance of the day came from Jay Bird at Yarborough leisure centre where he finished in 36th place and a new PB of 22.55! Well run Jay!

Not parkrunning but completing a 5k race at No Walk in the Park Chesterfield were Bob Foreman V60 and a cracking time of 19.10 and Chris Gillott V50 and not a bad time of 20.40.
