21 Runners and volunteers were to be found at 9 different venues this week. Sole club representation at Brierley Forest was provided by Simon Fisher running a steady 20.30 for 9th position. A little further afield at Doddington Hall, Lincolnshire was Chris Rouse in 99th place and a time of 25.36. Gav Elliot was also a solo MAC at Markeaton recording 25.09 and 125th place. At the local Monsal Trail more than half of all MACS were to be found with 7 runners and 5 volunteers. First MAC home was Mark Moriaty in 21.36 and 25th position scoring him an impressive 71.76% age grading. Only seconds behind in 27th place and 21.45 was Andrew Watson. First MAC lady back was Lisa Jones in 23.51 for 9th lady and 53rd overall. Next in was Harriet Atkin followed by Jacob Jones, Rob Scriven and Ann Armistead who had a super run of 33.46 for an age grading of 70.53%. Well run Ann. Our quintet of volunteers were Sarah’s Walton and Witham, Atessa, Nick Gant and Andy Mellor. Mini touristing at Oakwell Hall, Kate Ruffell was 2nd lady and 12th overall in 25.11 with an age grading of 74.92%. Proper international touristing was provided yet again by Dennis Holmes and Lisa Walton at Pont y Bala, Wales. Roy Austin was also proper touristing at Sewerby where had a cracking run finishing in 29th place and a PB of 23.35. Penultimately, Jay Bird was sole MAC at Shipley country park this week running 24.56 for 53rd place whilst our final athlete this week was Luke Beresford at Trentham Gardens in Stoke where he had another fantastic run as first finisher in 16.51 and a brilliant 81.01% age grading!
